Hot=Bad?

Started this discussion Jan 24

Ok, me and my three close girlfriends from work are convinced that the hot guys always end up being the bad boys! Is it because all they really care about are looks? We all know that we lose our looks eventually, so why just go for someone because of there looks? I recently had a BIG crush on this guy from work who was really good looking. I looked for qualities other than his looks to see if I would be attracted to him otherwise. I found he was a natural leader and that really drew me. But once I dug deeper, I found he was definitely a "player." And on top of that, he's in his 30's with a good career, shouldn't he want to get married? So in conclusion, should my friends and I steer clear of the good looking guys? Reply »

Sadly, I think you and your friends are right. I usually avoid "hot guys" because most if not all seem to be players and are not looking for a monogamous relationship. I think that us girls literally need to pray and seek a guy who fears God, and like Candice says, if he's good looking too then that's a bonus.

Just because a guy's good looking shouldn't rule him out. But I think you're onto something here -- the starting point shouldn't be looks, but character. Then, if he's good looking, too, that's a bonus.
